This book presents a great opportunity to learn about the Great Fire, which befell the city of London in
the summer of 1666. The book, Zom-B City can act as a great allegorical tool to spurring interest in reallife
history.

Did you know that there was a fire that destroyed 13,200 homes, 87 churches, and many
public buildings? It is hard to imagine destruction on such a scale. The aftermath of the fire was
also terrifying…hysteria and blame ran rampant.

In small groups, create a Venn diagram that compares the Great Fire with the Zombie
Apocolypse. You may focus on any aspect of the Fire that you like.
Though Zom-B City is completely fictional, it also can be seen as an allegorical tool for
understanding society’s behavior.
