Activity:
After reading the text students will make a collage either in video or 2D artwork that describes a poem from the book. The art piece should incorporate the poem as well as the student's interpretation through visuals of the poem's meaning.

Cite textual evidence to support analysis of what the text says explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.

(S) Students will create an original college that describes a character, setting, or the emotions of the story using a specific poem found in Out of the Dust.
