Their character, Captain Underpants, from their comic book becomes real when
George and Harold hypnotize their ill-tempered principal, Mr. Krupp.

Learning Activity
In this learning activity, students will be in groups of three and assigned the flowing roles: writer, illustrator and storyboard planner. A storyboard planner will focus on determining key details and events that will be highlighted in the comic book. The writer will focus on wiring the text and the illustrator will focus on creating illustrating that support the text. Students will create a comic book that depicts their own portrayal of the text by choosing elements of the story and its events that they believe are important in this text.

Students will understand the story elements and key deals and events that occur in the text titled The Adventures of Captain Underpants by: Dav Pilkey.
